Dynamic Stretching for Runners

As we begin our spring 2012 training season, we wanted to focus on stretching prior to each workout.  Instead of focusing on the traditional stretching you may be familiar with, we’d like to introduce you to dynamic stretching.  Dynamic stretching is a way to increase your heart rate and warm you body up properly before you workout.  We’ll incorporate dynamic stretching into this week’s running meetups, but to get you prepared for your workouts, watch this brief video from Coach Chick as he demonstrates the elements of dynamic stretching.
