Tell us a little about how you became a Christian:
I have been Saved since I was about 12. Almost my entire life has revolved around the church in one way or another. I have always worked in the church. When I was growing up everyone thought I would preach. I think my calling has been to teach. I taught for many years. I still love to teach.

What type of athlete do you consider yourself to be? Runner

Tell us about the most exciting race you’ve competed in:
My favorite race would have been my first triathlon. I was nervous the entire race. It was Three Pigs, Smithfield. I was deathly afraid of the swim. I started swimming and after the first 25 I was walking. I think I walked more than 3/4 the swim. Once I made it to T1, I felt like I had won the race. Getting through the rest of the race was gravy. My smile was plastered on my face for about 2 weeks.

What do you like most about running?
Running allows me an escape. It’s my mental washboard.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
Proverbs 27:17.  ”Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”
